Just poured a glass of wine in celebration of the fact that a) the physio's confirmed my suspicions of my shoulder's continued progress, b) the fact that having been to physio just now means I'll give my body 24 hours off and not practice tomorrow morning, and c) the day has a y in it.
A good 'beginners' (HA!) class yesterday. Very sweaty, and I'm definitely very unfit, although surprisingly flexible. A similar practice this morning - all of standing and a handful of seated, then backbending, shoulder standing, dolphining. Really enjoyed practising between two others in the class yesterday, I never realise how much I miss that until I get back into a class.
If I'd not been so busy, I've have blogged on Sunday about my Power Smoothie. I'm not a smoothie kind of a person (food that doesn't need chewing is not food. Even soup must have some form of bread), but my SouthernSister was up, and staying with the NorthernSister for the weekend, and we'd agreed to meet for brunch. So I needed something in my stomach after yoga, before the drive, and before we finally met, found a place etc. So I blended up a tub of NotYogurt, a banana, a handful of strawberries (though not the home grown ones I've been loving!), a little milk, and some hemp powder. Was yummy. Am I a smoothie convert? No. Will I consider another smoothie the next time SouthernSister is up, and staying with the NorthernSister for
the weekend, and we agree to meet for brunch, and I need something in my stomach after yoga, before the drive, and before we finally meet, found a place etc., and I have the ingredients to hand?
